Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! We just got done celebrating Christmas a new way this year. We spent 3 days in California at Disneyland and Legoland. We got back just in time for Christmas and Santa to deliver his gifts.

The kids had a wonderful Christmas. We spent the morining tearing through wrapping paper and gift bags hoping Santa would bring us everything on the list. Both Kids were VERY excited. Scooters, board games, dolls, movies, and a 50 piece construction set (thanks to uncle Florin).

We are all looking forward to see what the new year will bring us.
Attached are some pictures from this past week.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Everyone!

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween! What were the kids for Halloween? Well, it depends which day of the week. Their school had "Spirit" week and they got to dress up all week. Wacky day on Monday, Team color on Tuesday, Pajama day on Wednesday, Favorite story book character on Thursday, and FINALLY it was costume day on Friday.

Halloween was so much fun. The kids had a parade a school and a class party with lots of chocolate and candy...their favorite :) Later that evening we went trick or treating and the kids loved it. They are at an age where holidays like this are lots of fun. Samantha kept trying to open our neighbor's doors so she could walk in a pick out the candy she liked.

Enjoy the pictures. :)

High 5!

Happy Birthday Jackson!!! On September 24th Jackson turned 5 and we celebrated for almost a week.

Grandma & Grandpa Randolph took him to Peter Pippa Pizza, he had a party at school, and finally when Buni & Tata Geniu returned from Romania, we had another party at Pump it Up.

It has been an amazing five years. Jackson is really starting to grow up and mature more and more each day. He's developed a great sense of humor and a wonderful imagination. We are so blessed to have him in our lives.

Jackson is getting to be old enough to understand what happens at birthdays and looks forward to all of the gifts. In fact, after he opened all of his gifts at Pump it Up he said "Thank you...can we go home now?" He wanted to open up all of his presents :)

Dancing Queen

Samantha had her first dance lesson. She was very excited!!! She kept dancing up and down the hallway even before we left the house. She put on her new Hannah Montana outfit and started dancing. Yes, even 3 year olds know who she is.
When we got to the dance studio and she got her "Brand New" tap shoes...well, there was no stopping her. "Are these brand new shoes for me? Really mom?
Now I just have to hide the shoes in the house...imagine tap shoes on tile floors. :)

Funny Quotes

As Sammy was waking up...

"Mom, I'm definitely cold!"

Pediatrician: "Sammy, is your favorite color purple?"

Sammy: "Yes."

Mom: "Sammy, yesterday your favorite color was pink."

Sammy: "But yesterday I was wearing all pink!"

More to come.....

ABCs and 123s...

Well, the first day of pre-school came and everything went well. I think mom was more the nervouse wreck. The kids had a great day and they came home happy.

Jackson is in Pre-K4 and Samantha is in Pre-K 3. They seem to be enjoying their new school and their new teachers.

Jackson's teacher is from Scottland and has a wonderful accent. Samantha's teacher is very sweet and wonderful with small children.

We are excited to see what the school year will bring and how the children will adapt to their new environment.

Too Quiet...

We've been watching the olympics every chance we get. There is usually lots of excitement in our house right now. Screeming and yelling, watching gymnastics, beach volleybal, and Michael Phelps (its a sport on its own)...and then all of a sudden, things got quiet. Adam and I looked at each other and said "the kids are in the kitchen and its REALLY quiet." We look over and they decided to help themselves to a little dessert.

Typical Sammy and Jackson fashion... Get a spoon and dig in. The funny part is what they are eating. Sammy has been unstoppable with Cream Cheese and Jackson takes after his dad with cookie dough. We just laughed and joined in :)

Everyone is doing it...

My friends are doing it, my co-workers are doing it, everyone is doing it...everyone is creating a blog. So here it is. This is our first blog and my first attempt to get creative.

First of all, I guess I should update everyone on where we are and what we are up to. First, the kids. Samantha has just turned 3. She is turning into a little girl and she is no longer my baby. She is full of life and character. Most of the time she thinks she is a little princes and acts like one too! Whether it be her changing her clothes several times a day, asking me to do her hair again and again, or her famous pose with her hand on her hip saying "just a minute", she definitely keeps us busy.
Jackson is four going on 10. He is full of energy and has an inquiring mind. He loves science, learning about planets and the human anatomy. He can already tell you where the colon is and what it does...he gets that from his daddy :) He starts school soon where structure and new challenges will keep his inquiring mind busy. Adam has just ended his 15 year journey of medical school and training. He recently graduated a gastroenterology program at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix. He has joined a new group of GI doctors and is looking forward to starting his new career. I am still working at DMB (a land development company) as a project controller for one of their development projects. We both love where we are and feel blessed to have such wonderful kids, jobs and a supportive family.

Well, now that I've started this blog I guess I have to keep it up and post our newest happenings in a timely manner. I will do my best to keep you informed and probably entertained. I hope you enjoyed my intro and continue to check our blog as exciting postings are soon to come...
